Frequently asked questions.

What can I expect in a therapy session?

In a therapy session, you can expect to discuss your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and comfortable space.

How long does therapy last?

The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual and their specific needs. Some people may only need a few sessions, while others may benefit from more consistent work together. The standard meeting time for psychotherapy is 45 minutes. It is up to you, however, to determine the length of time of your sessions. Requests to change the 45-minute session need to be discussed with the therapist in order for time to be scheduled in advance.

Do you take insurance?

I am in network with Oxford, United Healthcare UHC I UBH.

What is your session rate?

My standard fee is $250 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of each session. Payment will be handled through my client portal. I do not currently bill insurance but can provide a record of receipt for reimbursement purposes. Any portion of the cost of services not reimbursed by insurance is the client’s responsibility. A sliding scale fee agreement can be discussed.

What is your policy on appointments and cancellations?

I ask my clients to respect a 24-hour window for requests to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Clients are responsible for the entire session fee if cancellation is made in less than 24 hours. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time.
